Whale Watch Count March 31, 2010

The CONDOR Express ran 2 whale watching trips today.  We watched a total of 4 Gray Whales, 1 Humpback Whale, 1000 Common Dolphin, and 6 Bottlenosed Dolphin.  Tomorrow the CONDOR Express will be running at Noon and 3pm.

Whale Watch Count March 30

The CONDOR Express ran 2 trips today.  We started off our morning watching our first cow/calf Gray Whale pair of the season (mother and baby).  Throughout the day we saw 2 more Gray Whales, about 200 Common Dolphin, and 10 Bottlenosed Dolphin.

Whale Watching Count March 28, 2010

What a perfect day of weather and marine wildlife in our Santa Barbara Channel.  The CONDOR Express ran 3 trips and watched a total of about 25 humpbacks and 600 Common Dolphin.  We will be running all 3 trips tomorrow at 9am, Noon, and 3pm.  Call us at -888-77WHALE.  We hope to see you out!

Whale Watch Report March 27, 2010

What a beautiful day in the Santa Barbara Channel today!  The CONDOR Express ran 3 trips today and watched a total of 15 Humpback Whales, 1 Gray Whale, and about 200 Common Dolphin.  The CONDOR Express will be running all 3 trips tomorrow, departing at 9am, Noon, and 3pm.  Please call us at 1-888-77WHALE if you would like to make a reservation.

Whale Watch Report for March 24, 2010

This week we have had some beautiful weather and fantastic Marine Mammal sightings in our Santa Barbara Channel.  There seems to have been a problem with our e-mail updates the last couple of days so I will recap our week so far:

Sunday, March 21, we ran 3 trips and watched a total of 12 Humpback Whales, 1 Gray Whale, and about 1500 Common Dolphin.
Monday, March 22, we ran 1 trip and watched a total of 2 Humpback Whales and 500 Common Dolphin.
Tuesday, March 23, we ran 2 trips and watched a total of 4 Humpback Whales, 3 Gray Whales, and about 1000 Common Dolphin.

Today was an eventful day on the water.  The CONDOR Express ran 3 trips and we watched a total of 14 Humpback Whales, 2 Gray Whales, and about 75 Common Dolphin.  We had Humpback Whales breaching, spyhopping, pectoral fin flaps, and friendly close encounters.  Attached are a couple pictures one of our crew took from their Iphone.

Whale Watch Count March 17th and 18th

On Wednesday, March 17, The CONDOR Express ran one trip and spotted a total of 4 Gray Whales and 500 Common Dolphin.
Today, March 18 the CONDOR Express watched a total of 7 Humpback Whales, 3 Gray Whales and about 2500 Common Dolphin.  Tomorrow the CONDOR Express will be running at Noon and 3pm.

Whale Watch Report March 16, 2010

Today the CONDOR Express ran 3 trips and its passengers watched a total of 2 Humpback Whales, 12 Gray Whales, 3000 Common Dolphin, 2 Minke Whales, and 5 Pacific Whitesided Dolphin.

Whale Watch Count for Condor Express

Thank you all for continuing to share our whale watching counts and spreading a recommendation of our trips!  We are having a great Spring season so far with many traveling Gray Whales, Friendly Humpback Whales, and playful Common Dolphin in our channel.  Our most recent sightings were:

Friday March 12:  We ran 2 trips and watched a total of 5 Gray Whales, 3 Humpback Whales, and about 1200 Common Dolphin.
Saturday March 13: We ran 3 trips and watched a total of 7 Humpback whales and about 300 Common Dolphin.
Sunday March 14:  We ran 3 trips and watched a total of 10 Humpback Whales, 4 Gray Whales, and about 2200 Common Dolphin.
